5 things you didn’t know you can do with Miro — or did you?
Work from home/anywhere is here to stay and so is Miro — the online collaborative whiteboard.
As the pandemic forced us all to work from home we needed to find ways and tools to handle that situation. During that time Miro became my daily companion. I simply learned to love that tool and so should you. If you haven’t heard about Miro yet, give it a chance and simply try it for free.

#1 Copy-Paste from a spreadsheet
You collected your ideas in a spreadsheet and realized that Excel is simply not flexible enough? No worries, we all make mistakes! Thankfully Miro has got you covered. Simply select your cells in your spreadsheet, copy those and paste them in Miro. CMD/Ctrl+C and CMD/Ctrl+V is all you need to do.
#2 Link to a specific frame
Sometimes (ok, actually almost always) your Miro boards get messy and contain way more stuff than you actually planned to. If you share your board with someone he/she will be incredibly lost. So simply right click on a frame that you want your users to focus on and select “Copy link”. Your link will now point right to that frame.
#3 Voting
Back in the old (offline) days you simply loved handing out those little round stickers and have people vote for their favorite options? No worries, you don’t need to let go of that. Just click on the “thumbs up” button in the Miro toolbar at the bottom and create a voting.
#4 Wireframing
You love to sketch out ideas and present them to your co-workers or client? Miro by default gives you a very rich tool set to create simple wireframes with a couple of clicks. So put that pen away and stop sending around pictures of your hand drawn sketches.
#5 Figmiro — Figma for Miro
You or your design team did some cool stuff in Figma that you want to share and get feedback on. So you simply shared a link to your Figma board and your client or the others in your team were like “Oh come on, another tool? I just got used to Miro…”? I feel you. With Figmiro (the Figma plugin for Miro) you can just sync your work from Figma to a Miro board and your team/client can just stay in the environment they are used to.
